Care Instructions

HOME TEXTILES

Our textile selection is primarily made from Sari fabric and other Fabric such as  Velvet, and Art Silk.

We recommend that all cushion covers, curtains, duvet sets, bedspreads, shawls and stoles be only dry cleaned as and when necessary to maintain their original character.

Stuffed products such as seat cushions, floor cushions, bolsters and pillows should be steam cleaned. One should vacuum or brush lightly to remove any accumulation of dust, dirt or debris.

SHAWLS & STOLES

Shawls and stoles should be dry cleaned as and when required.

Our delicately woven Shawls and Stoles are susceptible to snagging on jewellery, hair clips or other articles with sharp edges. So extra precaution should be taken.

Due to the double weave handloom construction each shawl and stole can be worn from any side. One side appears darker while the other side appears lighter.

Machine or hand washing with water is not advised for any of our products. Please do not use any cleaning solvents or  water- based solvents on any of our products.

WOODEN PRODUCTS.

We recommend regular dusting with a clean, soft, lint-free cloth. Doing this consistently is important to maintain the  appearance of your furniture.

Sunlight, water and humidity levels should always be taken into consideration. Never place furniture in areas that are exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods of time. Avoid exposing furniture to extreme changes in temperature. Avoid placing furniture near air-conditioning or heating vents.

Do not use polishes that create a build-up or even those with petroleum-based chemicals. We recommend products with organic contents. Always apply polish first to a clean, soft, lint-free cloth and then onto the furniture surface. It is suggested that you test a non-visible area of the furniture for suitability of the polish and only on satisfaction should the whole piece be polished.

Dirt particles can scratch surfaces. Keep in mind that decorative items without felt pads at the base can cause scratches when placed on  furniture items.

Most rustic furniture, on contact with water or any direct moisture can leave rings and blemishes on the surface, so one must blot up such spills immediately.

We also recommend felt pads underneath all chair and table legs.

Rotate accessories on your furniture periodically.

Avoid prolonged use of plastic and rubber items on your furniture.

Use coasters, placemats and tablecloths to protect furniture during use.

We strongly recommend seeking professional assistance for major repairs and finish restorations.
